Sometimes, we need to be in a certain kind of space without having to think too hard. We need to feel and be without too much effort. Instrumental music has often been this space for me. An invitation to sit a while. A landscape allowing me to explore or perhaps to sit still. An invisible room fo sound to reflect in or to simple just be in.
My hope for the songs of Isles of Pangaea is that it would create spaces for people to feel seen, whether it be in moments of pain or delight, seeking or knowing, that the spectrum of human emotions and experiences would find songs to be held in and leaned into, as I myself explore the vastness, the bliss, and the mystery of being here.
